Dramatic Grammar

After releasing a couple of EP's, a few singles and a fantastic self-titled first album, British indie band Grammatics have created a well-earned buzz. Frontman Owen Brinley has a considerably diverse arsenal of guitar chops and sings like the love-child of Freddie Mercury and Thom Yorke. Yeah, I know, it's okay to take a minute to digest that one... The band, for it's part, comes off somewhere between Muse and Bloc Party, although slices of Nirvana-esque rawness and Weezer-esque pop sensibility are also apparent. Their latest release is a non-album single entitled "Double Negative" and it's an arresting piece of intelligent, complicated pop.
