Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas is releasing his first solo effort at the top of November. Entitled Phrazes for the Young, it promises to stretch out with a little bit more of an electronic edge than The Strokes, while still retaining the sturdy songwriting and arranging that we've come to expect from his work in his 'regular' gig. The album was produced by Jason Lader, who's credits include production for Rilo Kiley and playing with The Mars Volta, with additional help from Mike Mogis, of Bright Eyes & Monsters of Folk fame.
