The latest "Sons of Athens," three-piece power-punk-poppers The Whigs are finally set to release their follow-up to 2008's Mission Control. They've been steadily raising their profile over the past couple years, joining kindred southern spirits like the Drive-By Truckers and Kings of Leon on national tours. The new album is expected sometime right around the turn of 2010 and is to be entitled In The Dark. Here's the title track, which they've released for free download.
